Ingredients: anger, joys, despair, futility, smiles, tears, bad language, humor, sarcasm, dread, delight and everything else entailed in teaching Core Curriculum to the wondrously irresponsible undergrad entitlement generation we have in U.S. colleges today (or at least in huge-ass universities like mine whose only care is football).

If I have to listen to another student presentation about "Amélie" I think I'm going to chew my leg off.
Yes, it's a great film. Yes, it's great for students to find ANY French film interesting enough to use for an oral presentation. Still, from now on for oral reports I think I'm going to limit them to movies I've either never seen or at least not for a long time.
