yeah, that's what I thought

Student wrote today to ask if she could please take her final early. She's in my last final, which is during the last university final exam session, 6h30-9pm Friday night.

For SOME reason this is the section where the most people try to change their exam times! Go figure.

And for SOME reason even tho the exam time is posted on the syllabus from Day One, most of the requests aren't made until DURING FINALS WEEK. Go figure some more.

This time (supposedly) the student has an on-campus job with the commencement committee and realized that Friday will be one of her Very Busiest Days with her job and could she please take the exam with my other section, this evening 6h30-9pm?

I wrote back reiterating the university policy that is already stated in two places on the syllabus:
no student may change an exam time for any reason except documented illness or immediate family emergency (also documented) OR in cases of students who have three or more exams scheduled on the same day of finals week.

I added:
"Actually, Megan, I personally don't mind, and I know professional conflicts are just as valid as academic ones, so if you can take the final on your own over the weekend if you like or Monday morning. I will just be grading all weekend anyway."

Her email response a little while later:
"No, thanks anyway, I guess I'd rather just go ahead and get the final overwith on Friday."

Knock me over with a feather.
