the good and the bad/good

Today's good: doing orals with the class I hate - crazy how wondrously personable and amiable they are one-on-one when they are such a horror with their group dynamic engaged - gah! Always good to have a little perspective adjustment.

Today's bad/good: getting a meeting cancelation 5 minutes before the scheduled time. Maybe I'm old fashioned but that is just not very proper, esp. when it wasn't canceled because of any last minute issue but because "we have no business to discuss yet and since my office is in a new building now we have to rethink our meeting venue."

The improperness notwithstanding I'm of course delighted to have an extra hour, as well as not having to traipse thru the rain!

Whoa. Check me out looking at the bright side! Will wonders never cease?
