oh that wondrous 2pm class
You think I'm being sarcastic but I'm not - they save my fucking existence nearly every day. That class has more good intentions and making-the-best-of-it skills and just overall fun-generation potential per capita than any class I've had in a Good Long While. I'll truly be sorry to see this semester end where they're concerned. The 12h class is decent a good bit of the time but they stress about stuff so easily - it makes me stressed out and it almost always freaks out my lesson plan on the days that they decide to freak. It's good that they're conscientious but I just want them to take a mini-lude every so often and go Breathe and practice Grammar Skill X for a while and THEN freak out if necessary, if it's not gel-ing for whatever reason. Still would take them any day over the 11h of course, but the 2h almost always comes out on top. They boost my spirit regularly, something which is in sore need as I'm sure you've noticed. I come out of there thinking I actually can teach effectively still! Crazy! And they actually have fun, too, taking a course that just as many of them are taking as a requirement as in my other classes, but they just know how to have a decent time at it. What a concept! Anyway infinite thanks to the universe for giving me those 2pm-ers this semester of all semesters. If we had a site to RateMyClasses, I'd give the entire class a personality chili pepper.
