I'll probably get a question about this when they see their participation grades because of course the times they are COMPLETELY clueless as to why on earth their participation grade should suffer are the times their participation is completely lacking, but wooooooo, big mystery!! Why, for example, when we do an activity during which one young fellow is simply sitting in the corner mentally wacking off rather than even looking at the material, WHY when I then start asking people to respond using the stuff they were just supposedly practicing with their partner and he has no fucking answer whatsoever and when he tries to pull it out of his ass it comes out all bent up and poopy and nowhere close to anything resembling a successful, communicative sentence, WHY do I then get the "Why are you such a bitch?" look when I (controlling myself admirably) very gently and respectfully help him get somewhat closer to a modicum of acceptable French?
I am so absolutely fucking sick of people who won't simply do what they are supposed to fucking do!!!! To say nothing of the fact that this kid could talk circles around everyone else in there since he's already had umpteen years of French and is only with us for the easy A (which, at this rate, he will have a hard time bringing to fruition -- no small measure of justice as far as I'm concerned).
